Ann Turkel is still struggling to come to terms with her divorce from husband, Richard Harris. The actress was born into the Jewish middle-class family in Manhattan, Turkel had, when she was 16, had studied in the company of Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse, and Philip Burton at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Within a week editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland had Ann shoot her first Vogue cover in collaboration with photographer Richard Avedon. After that, Ann was one of the most sought-after models throughout this country, appearing on the cover of some of the most prestigious fashion magazines including Vogue Bazaar and Cosmopolitan among other magazines. In the space of two years, Ann made her debut on the international market performing well throughout Europe as well as Japan for the roles of face of companies like Max Factor Revlon and Chanel.
